Interests and Pursuits
Playing hard is the natural counterbalance to working hard that keeps me refreshed and energized.
Bass Guitar
I have recently begun taking lessons on the bass guitar. With the help of my instructor Ben, I'm currently working on the twelve bar blues in several keys.
My goal is to be able to play blues and jazz with a quartet of friends and family.
Travel
The travel bug has bit me with my first trip overseas in 2012 to Munich and Zurich. In 2013, I'm headed to India to see Bangalore and New Delhi.
In addition to overseas travel, I want to see a ball game in each of the 30 MLB stadiums across the country.
Golf
I first picked up a club in my senior year of high school and never looked back. Last year, I was able to get my score down to the mid-100's and shot my first birdie ever.
I'm working towards breaking the 100 stroke barrier and getting my game into the high 90's.
Photography
I've had a desire to take a photography class for some time now and my goal is to sign up for an introductory class at Pittsburgh Filmmakers in the summer of 2013
Books and Movies
My reading preferences are generally non-fiction, with an interest in the Revolutionary War. My favorite book is a tie between 1984 and Brave New World.
For movies, I generally prefer Drama over Comedy, but if its intelligently written (or British), I'll go to the theater for a good laugh. My favorite movies are The Shawshank Redemption and Where Eagles Dare.
Motorcycle
There is nothing like the feel of the open road and I have spent many a summer afternoon on my Honda CRX 500. I recently sold it, however, to finance my tip to Germany so I am looking forward to getting another bike in the near future.
